This project was designed for a Lower Mainland family as a place for them to decompress from the demands of a busy life (including the running of a successful business). It was built in collaboration with Kettle River Timberworks. The timber frame structure is a defining feature throughout the home. The house is dug into a hill for energy efficiency, and opens to the south with a generous, covered wrap-around veranda on three sides. In addition to the main dwelling, there’s a rental suite situated above the garage. (Photos: John Gower)
