‘Greystoke Seven’ is a townhome development in a rapidly densifying urban neighbourhood. It has three units facing the street and four more tucked in behind, with vehicle access to garages from a central courtyard. As our client requested, we incorporated a number of environmentally friendly features: a geothermal heating/cooling system, insulation values that exceeded Code, and onsite storm water management in the form of porous paving and a rain garden. The rich palette of warm, nature-inspired materials is a welcome relief on a street of pastels, grey and beige.
